Conspiracy X

Conspiracy X is a game of humanity's struggle against aliens and the supernatural. It also happens to be good fun. I am currently running this game, and below are a few bits and pieces about the characters involved.

Personnel

Cell Leader: Charles Winthrop
Works directly for Aegis with the CAPS group. Appears to be approaching middle age. Dresses mainly in suits and wears glasses due to short sightedness. Is both a sensitive and a supernatural focus. As you can imagine, this can be an . . . interesting combination. Specialist in the occult.

Member: Geoff McCulloch
Intelligence analyst for NSA. Officially does not exist, but gets into plenty of trouble none the less. Has an intense dislike of "surfer dudes" and the like which, when combined with alchoholism, can be a bit of a hassle.

Member: Dr Clive McKinney (Missing)
Works for the OER in the labs. Is not a "people person", probably due to being a psychic void. This means that he keeps very much to himself, but also acts as a good source of information and research capability.

Member: Matt Drayson
Greater Telepath. Part of Project MKUltra. Has severe doubts as to the actual existance of UFOs and so on. Also has an unfortunate tendency to try and kill things. This has, however, saved the group's collective butts on at least one occasion. Was believed killed in a house fire shortly after the cell's first mission, but recently turned up again working undercover in a Black Book team. Last seen in the company of Sandra Lenz, current whereabouts unkown.

Member: Edd Jones (Missing)
Ops specialist with Project Moondust. Has a couple of slight problems. He has been corrupted by the Seepage. He is also wanted by the State Police in Hawaii, who believe him to be a cop-killer. This is due to an incident involving Edd, a Saurian, and a patrol car caught in the cross-fire.

Member: Dr Mark Lewis (Deceased)
Recruited as a replacement for Matt Drayson. Works for the CDC and has proved very useful at times. Is suspected to have Atlantean Blood Surgeon nano-bots in his system, but no-one has ever gotten round to finding out why. Was killed during the cell's last mission by Sandra Lenz, using an Atlantean Needler pistol.

Member: Sandra Lenz
The cell's latest recruit. Works for CAPS at the same offices as the cell leader. Became suspicious of his activities and confornted him shortly prior to the Summoming incident. After consultation with Aegis Prime, the cell decided to recruit her. She quickly displayed a wide range of skills and became a usefull member of the group.
It was not until the cell's last mission that anything untoward was suspected. Sandra was apparently killed during a firefight but, when the cell members returned to scene, she was nowhere to be found. She later reappeared, killing Mark Lewis for resons unkown, healing Charles Winthrop (who at that time was unconcious from a head wound), also for reasons unknown. She then proceeded to deliver Winthrop and McCulloch to the nearest ER before disappearing with Drayson.

The cell's base is located under a permanently closed petrol station, a couple of hours outside Seattle. Due to the amount of influence the members were able to bring to bear, the cell is notably well equipped with lots of interesting bits of kit.

Mission History:
March 5th, 1998. Investigated reports of supernatural disturbance in the Still Grove area of Seattle. Disturbance discovered to be spirit of murdered drug dealer exacting revenge. Spirit was banished, area restored to "normal" life. Full report will be online soon.

March 24th,1998. Instructed by Aegis Prime to investigate an unusual viral outbreak. The outbreak was discovered to have been engineered by the Black Book. It was during this mission that Dr Lewis was assigned to the Cell by Aegis Prime for his first operation.

April 19th, 1998. Cell intercepted news reports of a "miracle" and decided to investigate further. The recipient of this miracle turned out to be an Atlantean with no memory of their life before 15 years ago. The patient was unfortunately killed in a firefight in the hospital between an Atlantean who had been posing as a senior doctor in the hospital, and a group who where determined to kidnap him. Both of these paties had been contacted by the Cell, who are currently being thankfull that they were not caught in the coss fire.

May 15th, 1998. Cell leader became suspicious about a number of occult related purchases at a local auction. On further investigation, it turned out that someone was planning to summon a demon for reaons as yet unclear. The cell proceeded to prevent the ritual's sucess by destroying the ritual chamber and all it's contents using approx. 4 kg of plastic explosives. This was Sandra Lenz's first mission with the cell.

May 29th, 1998. Surveilance of TV programming reveals a possible threat to the secrecy surrounding alien operations on Earth. A local TV station advertises a live alien autopsy and shows pictures of the lucky victim, who is clearly identifiable as a dead Grey. The cell decide to intervene and remove/destroy the corpse. Whilst attempting this, they encounter a team of Black Book agents, also attempting to retrieve the body. Highly surprising to both Winthrop and McCulloch was the fact that one of the Black Book agents was Matt Drayson. In the ensuing fracas, all but Drayson of the Black Book agents were killed, along with Lewis and, apparently at least, Lenz. Lenz later reappeared and destroyed the Grey, who was not, in fact, dead, using a disassembler seed.
